Regular maintenance can significantly extend the service life of the universal joint and reduce the occurrence of failures. The core maintenance content includes cleaning, lubrication, and inspection, and the maintenance cycle needs to be formulated according to the frequency of use. In terms of cleaning, it is recommended to clean the wheel body and bracket once a week, and use a damp cloth to wipe the dust and debris on the wheel surface. If it comes into contact with oil stains or chemicals, it should be cleaned with a neutral cleaner and wiped dry to avoid corrosive substances from corroding the wheel body material (such as rubber wheels that are prone to expansion and aging when exposed to oil stains, and nylon wheels that are prone to cracking when exposed to strong acids and alkalis). Lubrication and maintenance should be targeted at the wheel axle and rotating bracket. It is recommended to apply lubricating grease (such as lithium based grease, silicone oil) every 1-3 months (once a month in high-frequency use scenarios). Before application, the dirt on the shaft core should be removed to ensure that the grease evenly covers the contact surface between the shaft core and the bearing, reducing friction and wear, improving rotational flexibility, and reducing noise. Regular inspection is the key to preventing malfunctions, with a focus on checking the following areas: whether there is wear, cracking, or deformation on the wheel surface (if the wear thickness exceeds 3mm or cracks appear, they should be replaced in a timely manner); Whether the bracket is loose, deformed, or corroded (loose screws need to be tightened, severe corrosion requires replacement of the bracket); Is the bearing stuck (with no abnormal noise or increased resistance during rotation); Whether the brake device (if any) is sensitive (test whether the brake can effectively fix the equipment after locking). In addition, for equipment that has been idle for a long time, the wheel body should be lifted or supported with cushion blocks to avoid long-term deformation of the wheel surface under pressure.

Common faults and troubleshooting solutions

During the use of universal wheels, it is easy to encounter problems such as rotational lag, increased noise, rapid wear on the wheel surface, and brake failure. Timely troubleshooting and resolution can prevent the expansion of the problem and ensure safe use.

The core misconceptions and correct methods of selection

Many users are prone to falling into the trap of "only looking at the price" and "ignoring the scenario" when choosing universal wheels. The correct selection should follow the logic of "setting requirements first, then selecting parameters" to avoid poor user experience or safety hazards caused by improper selection.
