The load-bearing capacity of the universal wheel is the core indicator for selection, which needs to be comprehensively calculated based on the total weight of the equipment, the number of wheel sets, and the safety factor to avoid damage or safety hazards caused by overloading. Firstly, it is necessary to clarify the calculation logic of single wheel load: single wheel load=(total equipment weight+rated load) ÷ number of wheel sets × safety factor. Among them, the selection of safety factor needs to be adjusted according to the usage scenario: the safety factor for indoor stable environments (such as office and home) is taken as 1.2-1.5; Frequent movement, uneven ground, or outdoor scenes should be taken as 1.5-2.0; Heavy equipment and high-altitude work equipment should be equipped with 2.0-3.0 to cope with sudden impacts or uneven forces. For example, a logistics cart with a total weight of 500kg, equipped with 4 universal wheels, if used on the warehouse floor (safety factor 1.5), the single wheel load capacity needs to be ≥ (500+0) ÷ 4 × 1.5=187.5kg, and a wheel body with a load capacity of 200kg or more should be selected. It should be noted that there is a difference between static and dynamic weight-bearing: dynamic weight-bearing (when equipment is moving) requires consideration of inertial impact force, which is usually 20% -30% lower than static weight-bearing. Therefore, when selecting, dynamic weight-bearing should be the core reference. In addition, there is a positive correlation between wheel diameter and load-bearing capacity. Under the same material, the larger the wheel diameter, the stronger the load-bearing capacity, and the smaller the rolling resistance, making pushing more effortless.

Common faults and troubleshooting solutions

During the use of universal wheels, it is easy to encounter problems such as rotational lag, increased noise, rapid wear on the wheel surface, and brake failure. Timely troubleshooting and resolution can prevent the expansion of the problem and ensure safe use.

The core misconceptions and correct methods of selection

Many users are prone to falling into the trap of "only looking at the price" and "ignoring the scenario" when choosing universal wheels. The correct selection should follow the logic of "setting requirements first, then selecting parameters" to avoid poor user experience or safety hazards caused by improper selection.
