The material of the wheel body directly determines the core performance of the universal wheel, such as wear resistance, load-bearing capacity, and noise reduction. Common materials include rubber, polyurethane (PU), nylon (PA), cast iron, etc., which need to be selected accurately according to the usage environment. The advantages of rubber wheels (natural rubber or synthetic rubber) are good elasticity, good noise reduction effect, high ground adhesion, suitable for smooth indoor floors (such as tiles and wooden floors), but their wear resistance is average, and they are prone to aging due to long-term exposure to oil stains or high temperature environments. They are suitable for noise sensitive scenarios such as office chairs and medical carts. Polyurethane wheels (PU wheels) are one of the materials with the best comprehensive performance, combining the elasticity of rubber with the wear resistance of nylon. They have strong load-bearing capacity, are not easy to damage the ground, and are resistant to oil, acid, and alkali. They have a wide range of applications, from household items to industrial equipment, especially suitable for scenarios that require a balance between quietness and durability. Nylon wheels have high hardness, strong wear resistance, and outstanding load-bearing capacity, making them suitable for heavy-duty equipment and rough surfaces (such as factory workshops, storage and logistics areas). However, their elasticity is poor, and they produce loud noise during driving. They are also prone to slipping on smooth surfaces and require anti slip pattern design. Cast iron wheels are suitable for ultra heavy equipment (such as large machine tools and heavy-duty shelves), with high temperature resistance and wear resistance, but they are heavy and noisy, only suitable for industrial heavy-duty scenarios, and should be avoided from being used on smooth surfaces to prevent scratching the ground.

Common faults and troubleshooting solutions

During the use of universal wheels, it is easy to encounter problems such as rotational lag, increased noise, rapid wear on the wheel surface, and brake failure. Timely troubleshooting and resolution can prevent the expansion of the problem and ensure safe use.

The core misconceptions and correct methods of selection

Many users are prone to falling into the trap of "only looking at the price" and "ignoring the scenario" when choosing universal wheels. The correct selection should follow the logic of "setting requirements first, then selecting parameters" to avoid poor user experience or safety hazards caused by improper selection.
